A Closed Door

Jason and I have been intrigued with possibly adopting through our county. Today we spoke with the head of the adoption department and she basically told us not to even try! She said they have so many families right now in the "pool," that we would have to wait to even get a foster placement (not even adoption). She said the only way would be if we were open to siblings over age 6. Of couse, with Jack being 5, we have no desire for that and do NOT want to disrupt birth order in our home. Another closed door, and we are still waiting for that open window!
