We will be praying about this. I spoke with our County today. In no way are we disqualified from being a foster family because of my health history! Yay!!! (Had previously been told they had no need for more families). Whether or not we can actually adopt is another story, but we know God has a Perfect Plan. We need to get through this difficult storm and call them back in about 6 months. Again: Joel 2:25. After going thru 2 cancers in 4 years, the prospect of helping a child in need is so very alluring. All you want to do is give back in some way. There is no more selfishness left in life. You count your blessings no matter how small. Just getting through a day and still going to bed smiling is enough. And Jack is such a social butterfly and well-adjusted that we are incredibly blessed.
