4th of July up North!

We had a great time up north visiting my Dad over the first week in July. It's an annual tradition and so very FUN! Jack had a blast: caught several fish all on his own, drove the pontoon boat, rode on the wave runner with Daddy and Anna, 4th of July parade and fireworks, swimming at the Leech Lake Beach in Walker, etc. etc. To say it was "fun-filled" would be an understatement. Thank you, Dad, for the best time ever!

Craziest thing ever! While cleaning these fish, Grandpa realized there was a crayfish in one of their stomachs. It was sitting on the table and suddenly jumped. None of us could believe it was still alive! Back in the water he went.

Jack and Grandpa and Grandma at the Rapid River Logging Camp for dinner.

Just about to ride the wave-runner

My cousin Anna showed Jason and Jack the ropes of riding a wave-runner. I think we are hooked!

Do we look like happy campers or what? I think it's cuz of the dude behind Jack in all his "klassy" glory: complete with the "wife-beater" tan lines!

Looks like a great trip, Lisa! We are heading up to Park Rapids for our yearly lake trip soon, as well! Love, love, love Northern MN in the summer!
