State Fair and 1st Day of 1st Grade!

We, the Johnson 3, went to the State Fair on Labor Day. This year, we only went the one time-- can you believe it?! In fact, after 6 hours, we were ready to leave! Jason and Jack enjoyed the Giant Slide (State Fair icon), and we loved the Tom Thumb mini donuts, the cheese curds, Sweet Martha's chocolate chip cookies, and more. We took a ride on the Skyline Ride, enjoyed an awesome free concert, and Jack and I went in the incredible Butterfly House. So fun to have so many butterflies land on you! Jack got plenty of souvenirs and we laughed a lot and had a great time together. Last year, if you recall....I went in a wheelchair. I'm so blessed to be healthy and whole again! That was the best part of all. Thank you, Jesus!

Today was Jack's first day of 1st Grade! We enjoyed waiting with him at the bus stop and a bunch of other neighborhood kids and families. He loved his first day so much (even the lunch!) He said he can't wait to go back tomorrow! So thankful for his bright mind, tender heart, and the amazing joy he brings us every single day!
